I really enjoy learning languages and everything about languages, which is my biggest hobby! Apart from that I love genealogy and history (my family tree has around 1000 profiles now), poetry, playing guitar, birdwatching and I'm always excited to learn something new about us humans and understand us deeper.
Russian is a language I feel I can speak from the heart, unlike English and I want to be able to write poetry in it in the future. I also have family in Russia 🇷🇺
Ukrainian is my great grandmother's language and one my paternal grandpa and his family were familiar with apart from Polish, so I want to get fluent in it so that I could pay respect to my roots in some way. There's still some of my relatives living there and I'd love to connect with them this way 🇺🇦
Arabic is a language I'm passionate about, especially when it comes to dialects and dialectology. At the university I usually study MSA (الفصحى), but what my catched my heart first was the Syrian dialect, especially that of the coast 🇸🇾
Turkish I'm studying due to my major and even though I won't be studying it no more begining with this semestre, I really liked it and would want to be able to communicate in it on a basic level 🇹🇷 I'd also like to pick up some Crimean Tatar in the meanwhile 🙂

SpanishI am a native speaker of Polish, so I would be happy to help you study this language. I know English at C2 level and I would be glad to both learn and teach. I can communicate in Russian quite well, but I would like to expand my vocabulary. I can also help you learn Russian. I like reading Japanese poetry and books by Haruki Murakami, so I would be happy to learn at least a little bit of Japanese. I would also be glad to master some French as I like the sound of this language. Hi! I'm from Ontario/Poland and I recently moved to Montreal! I speak French at about a B1/B2 level and would love to meet with people in person to practise. Outside of French I love reading and sports (but am currently recovering from ACL surgery :( ). I graduated with a masters in Neuroscience, I'm also pretty into philosophy and mindfulness. After my little hiatus in Montreal I want to travel in Asia for a few months, especially Thailand and Vietnam.

Hi there! My name is Maggie, originally from Poland, but I've been living in the UK for 18 years now. I started learning Japanese around two years ago, but progress has been a bit slow, mostly because I don’t have enough opportunities to practice speaking.
I’m here to improve my conversation skills and to learn more about Japan. I have a wide range of interests, including music, books, martial arts (I practice Shaolin Kung Fu), food, and, of course, all aspects of Japanese culture.
My love for Japanese hardcore/punk music is actually what got me started with learning Japanese in the first place. By day, I work as an accountant, but I also run a small record label called Chopstick Records, where I release Japanese hardcore music in the UK. I also write a blog dedicated to the Japanese hardcore scene, where I publish interviews with musicians, album reviews, and anything related to the underground music scene in Japan. I’m passionate about promoting Japanese artists on this side of the world!
