Hi - I'm a Registered Nurse interested in Public Health, epidemiology, immunization and workforce planning. I play the harp, violin, and recorder (badly) and the piano, flute, cello, guitar, and clarinet even worse.
My husband and I are looking to move to Europe (probably Budapest) in 6 years, and we want to have at least the basics of Hungarian by then.
I am fascinated by patterns (my first university degree was in mathematics and physics), and languages. I have a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), but have patchy knowledge and ability in other languages. We got by in Europe a few years ago, when we spent 2 months across 4 countries.
My knowledge of French is best, but I don't get to practice any language often, being in Australia where English is the official and dominant language.
So that is why I am here! I will need my language partners to be patient, please - and I am happy to do the same for you in the one language I know pretty well, English!
Looking forward to meeting you!
Hello. I am from US and living in Taiwan. I'm looking to improve my Chinese. In return maybe I can help you with English. I play guitar and love music and 80s movies. I am also a graphic designer. Feel free to drop me a line.
I am an older American, probably the age of most of the native-Arabic-speakers' (those listed here) grandmothers. But please don't be put off by that. I retain my talent in languages. I'm a pretty quick learner and know four Indo-European languages besides English. I have been studying Modern Standard Arabic in New York City for about a year and a half with a Syrian teacher. I find I don't study the way I should because I learn languages by speaking with native speakers and this is mainly a reading and writing course with some recorded conversations on CD. The book is very good: Mastering Arabic by Jane Wightwick and Mahmoud Gaafar. -- I was a journalist for most of my life. I did a great deal of reporting from Palestine and Israel between 1979 and 2009. I always wanted to learn Arabic but never had the time. I have been studying Modern
I am still struggling with verbs and I find I don't study much because I have no one to talk to. I speak - besides English - Italian (fluently), Spanish (semi-fluently), French (pretty fluently), German (some). If I were in the Middle East living in a city or village I would learn Arabic quickly. But as it is I have no one to talk to and this is why I'm interested in this program.
Hi, my name is Alexandar, I live in Serbia. I am a student at university and I'm 23. I want to improve my spanish and french skills. Hello beautiful people !
I'm Valentina and I'm trying to study Korean by myself.
I keep watching videos on You tube and listening to Korean songs but...I need someone to speak slowly to me in order to understand the pronunciation.
Originally from Romania but live in London for over seven years, I fluently speak English and Spanish, a bit of French and Italian.
Biggest dream is to travel around the world and in each country to have at least one friend.
Always speck my mind, no mater what, I always keep my promises, incurable romantic, huge believer in destiny.
If by any chance you'll receive a message from me, please don't be scared, I like to make the first step!
So, what are you waiting for? Let's be friends !
