Hi, my name is Justin. I’m a native English speaker from Canada with a strong interest in Vietnamese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian culture. I’m currently working on a book series about a powerful female pirate crew, and I’m hoping to learn more about the cultures and coastal regions that inspire my writing while making new friends and pen pals along the way.
Some of my hobbies include Southeast Asian history, creative writing, music, animation, tea culture, and exploring Buddhism. I especially enjoy learning about Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, Macau, Hainan, Guangdong, and Guangxi. I’m very interested in coastal life, maritime history, local traditions, food, and everyday culture.
I’m friendly, curious, open-minded, and always happy to have thoughtful conversations and cultural exchange. I would also love to improve my understanding of Vietnamese and Lao culture over time.
I also know two local people who spend half the year in China and half here in Canada running a high-end pottery and tea shop, which has helped deepen my appreciation for tea culture and traditional arts.

I'm a teacher of languages (greek for foreigners,chinese/ i teach online as well) , classical+folk/traditional/world music composer and philosopher.
concerning english, I've studied in UK and i am using the language every day for many years.
I tend to ask about hobbies and interests to develop a conversation based on common topics.
i am interested in knowing more languages, as well as cultures and , if possible, to make some friends and meet even.
especially as a philosopher i have huge interest on cultures.

My current French level is A2-B1, and I recently began to learn Chinese. I'm not familiar with Hanzi Characters for now, but I'm consistently studying them!
My goal is to improve my French and Chinese, so I can communicate while traveling.
I usually love to go shopping with friends or visit local festivals. Otherwise, I love to watch anime or to read, especially fantasy or a love trope XD!!
