My name is Cash. My Thai name is แนน. I am half Thai, a quarter Lao, and a quarter Chinese.Thai is actually my first language because my grandmother raised me and she only spoke Thai. However, I was born in America so I was learning Thai, Lao, and English at the same time. My grandmother passed away when I was 14, so since then I don’t speak it that often anymore. I’m looking for friends to speak Thai with!
I can speak, but make mistakes sometimes since my Thai and Lao are mixed. Also, I know more Northern Thai dialect than Central Thai. I am a Laotian (Lao American) and can with you to teach Lao and/or help you practice English as well.
I am learning Hangeul and basic Korean now. My goal is to be able to speak it well within a year. After that, I also plan to learn Japanese. I would love to travel to Korea and Japan soon.
For Japanese, I'm barely learning the basic of Hiragana and Katakana (Kanji might come later in the future). I would like to experience Japanese culture in Japan and also attend (A Laos festival in Tokyo).
For Korea, I plan to visit maybe this year or next year (Busan and Seoul).
I'm working on a eLearning language site - and will create a book project to help "Korean speakers learn Lao" - same goes for Japanese speakers. If you're interested in my helping to contribute to my course/book project (as a tester, graphic designer, language editor, etc), please let me know!
