私は1999年生まれの韓国人です。大学に通っていた頃、専攻とはあまり関係ありませんでしたが、英語と日本語の勉強に興味を持つようになりました。大学時代は主に英語の勉強に集中し、今では日常会話にはあまり困らない程度になりました。
その代わり、日本語を勉強する時間があまり取れなかったので、最近は日本語を一生懸命勉強しています。
これは私の偏見かもしれませんが、日本人は英語圏の外国人と比べると、少し友達を作るのが難しいように感じます。このアプリを通して、良い友達に出会い、お互いにとって意味のある交流ができたら嬉しいです。
私は言語だけでなく、文学にも興味があります。日本の作家では、特に村上春樹、吉本ばなな、夏目漱石が好きです。いつか日本語の原文で読める日が来たらいいなと思っています。

I am a Korean born in 1999. When I was in university, I became interested in studying English and Japanese, although they were not directly related to my major. During my time in college, I focused mainly on studying English, and now I can communicate without much difficulty.
However, because of that, I did not have much time to study Japanese back then, so these days I am studying Japanese more seriously.
This might just be my prejudice, but I feel that it can be a little harder to make friends with Japanese people compared to people from English-speaking countries. Through this app, I hope to meet good friends and have meaningful exchanges with each other.
I am interested not only in languages but also in literature. Among Japanese writers, I especially like Haruki Murakami, Banana Yoshimoto, and Natsume Sōseki. I hope that someday I will be able to read their works in the original Japanese.

Hi, I am Yoenkyung Kim and please call me Kim. I live in San jose now and I am looking for the person to practice speaking English. Before I am living here in CA, I used to live In Japan for 15years.
So I can speak Japanese and Korean.
