Hi! My name is Anika and I'd love to learn a bit Japanese. I think Japan is a beautiful country with an interesting culture I'd like to learn more about. I hope to go on vacation to Japan one day and figured it would come in handy if I'm able to speak the basics of the language. I speak Dutch, English and a little bit German.
I work as a nurse and my hobbies are (board) games, movies, playing the flute and much more!
*due to covid-19 and working as a nurse I won't be able to respond quickly, I'll do my best.
Hello, I am Thijmen. I am 18 years old and next year I am going to travel around Japan for a few months. I would love to learn the language (I am already studying Hiragana and Katakana with help of a teachter, I only need help with Kanji characters) and in exchange I can help you with learning Dutch and/or English. I am also looking for friends who live in Japan who can guide me around their city while I am there.
I really enjoy travelling and I have been to some countries in Europe so I can always answer your questions about travelling in Europe. I also really enjoy cooking :)
I like to learn how to speak and write Japanese. I've practiced Judo my whole life and was always fascinated by Japan as a country. Half a year ago I decided to try and learn the language and I like it very much! But still, I will need a lot of practice.
The things I like the most are sports, nature and wildlife, travel and gardening, but I'm always open for more subjects to talk about.
I'm looking forward to pratice!

Hi, my name is Gijs. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Classics. I am interested in learning new languages and talking about different cultures. I just began learning Japanese, so I won't be able to have full fledged conversations yet. However, I hope to gain a better understanding of the Japanese language in the following months. In the meanwhile I hope to learn more about the Japanese culture and make friends, while sharing my knowledge of the Dutch language and culture. I am also interested in learning Italian. I read a lot of English books and scientific articles, so I'm also available for practicing English (just to clarify, English isn't my native language, but I believe I could teach it to a certain degree). Feel free to contact me!

Beside direct conversation I am also interested in written correspondence in which you can tell me when I make an (grammatical) error in Japanese. And I can do the same in english.
Hi, I'm a single mom and I always wanted to learn foreign languages. When I was young, all language teachers told me I was very linguistic and should get on with it. Maybe become a professional interpreter. But due to circumstances and because of the lack of usefulness on my native island itself, I didn't go through with it. Now as an adult, living abroad, I regret it. I would like to improve my English, and at this moment I just started to learn Korean and would appreciate iet if you can help me out with that.
On my turn, I can help you with the Dutch language. When I moved to the Netherlands, I found out I was better at grammar than most natives, always scoring higher rates. Not because I'm that clever, but because on my native island, we were bombed daily with grammar at school. Combined with my passion for languages. Most of the time, natives are not bombed with grammar of own language.
Besides helping each other with our target language, we might also turn into friends. Within a friendship we can improve our target languages even better! :-)
An enthusiastic person who likes meeting new people while simultaneously learning more about the world. There's no better to achieve that than with languages. As a Dutch native, I can help you reach fluency and teach you about our culture. As for me, I like to learn Spanish and German. Besides, travelling and personal development are other passions of mine. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you are serious about your Dutch. :D
